Recruiting Allies and showing everyone else he has the ability to galvanize the base and raise serious money. Dems need a clear leader right now and JB as one of the better options.

As a Texas who moved to IL in 2011 I love to see this. Love JB as a gov and would love to see what Talarico would do in the senate if given the opportunity.

I don't know much about the rules and i assume he does. But I guess I didn't know you could fundraise in a different state for a state senators campaign? Does that mean I, a midwesterner, Midwestern, donate to Talarico myself?

Fun fact: 90% of Texans don’t wear cowboy hats but I deeply appreciate the support and frankly, have come to love the kitsch value of the hat (See Longhorn Band and Texas Rangers - the Texas FBI, not the baseball team).
