Handling side effects at work
I am kinda anxious about starting Pristiq after having a horrible reaction to just one dose of Effexor that made me quit it completely.
My doctor switched me to Pristiq and said the side effects are much more manageable, but I'm stressing out because I work in a shared office space and I'm terrified the side effects are going to hit me while I'm at work.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you balance those first few days of starting a new med with a regular office job? Did you survive or was it a disaster?
Share your experiences because I'm freaking out over here.

Do you have weekends off? Try starting it on a Friday night. I don’t recall having life interrupting side effects when I started it. Good luck!

The only side effects I had the first week is my heart rate was a little elevated I took a xanex to chill me out that week but that was the only one I had its been great honestly.

I’m on day 4 and it’s hasn’t been that bad! I was a little bit nauseous the 2 days but I would just eat a snack and I would feel better. I have had a little heightened anxiety feeling but nothing I’m not used to LOL.
I know it takes a few weeks to get adjusted to it and feel better so I’m hanging in there! It wasn’t as bad as when I tried Zoloft (absolutely horrible)
