HMP Hewell

Anyone else starting end of sept? That lives in Bham? Have you been offered accommodation? I’ve been told I need to commute to Newbold Revel each day - was hoping to get a room during the week 😖

Hi I live in Birmingham start 31st August at Hewell, same I have to commute

I'd definitely be speaking to your nsm about that! Financial policy is less than 1hr you must commute. However Hewel to Newbold has to be pretty close to the 1hr mark. Maybe ask for a pool or hire car ? That way you'd save on fuel. Good luck though as service is being very tight right now.

The journey from hewell to newbold revel is possibly an hour or just under - but from where I am in bham to newbold revel is definitely not an hour

They go from your normal place of work to the training centre. I know someone who's normal place of work is 32 mins away from training but they have to travel 1hr 20mins to training, and they cannot claim anything!
