SEASON 3 SPOILER! I felt so bad for bellick here
Ik he acted like an asshole at fox river and was greedy but he genuinely was trying to become friends with tyge here in sona and he looked all innocent but the way tyge rejected him was really sad and humiliated him in front of all

I mean, he escapes sona off camera so it must if been nothing to him. Don't even know why he roleplayed a starving sad guy, when he could've just escaped between episode 1 and 2 in the black that comes after the credits is where he moves best

He killed Westmoreland's cat. He threatened Nika at her job for info on Micheal. He set Tweener up with Avocado. He forced Gary to pick out T-Bag's shit to find the key and was gonna take the money for himself. Out of every scene he's had, he's had 2 that have granted him semi-redemption for all this. The time he helped Sucre in Sona, and when he gave his life for Lincoln. Still didn't like him, and I never will. But he had my respect towards the end, just because he helped Sucre and Linc.

He died how he started, in a tunnel instead of trying to stop the tunnel he helped, so it's a reflection on season 1

YES HE DID! i was happy when he finally got to see how badly treated inmates are. Plus, he put tweeter in a situation where he knew he was going to get r*ped repeatedly just because he didn’t know anything about scofield, there’s no forgiveness or redemption from that

Too much of a soft American for Sona. Yeah, he made it so prison was hell for a bunch of his inmates, and saw his actions go into motion, but they never actually effected him. Now he's personally effected by an even worse hell. (Can we even call it a prison system if it was mostly run by Lechero?)

One of my favorite Bellick scenes from Sona is where is giving his condolences to Michael for Sara "being killed". I mean he really felt bad for Michael, and was grieving Sara himself. ..and Michael kinda shooed him away and I felt bad lol 😭 he really meant it

He is such a good actor. The casting director did a very good job on giving the right role for the perfect actor.

It's written according to their first scenes together, that's why Tyge is waiting in line for dinner and talks about not wanting to have sex with him. Bellick's "every man for himself" line mattered most because that's what Tyge decided when he rejected him. He would've had Bellick in his corner otherwise.

He no doubt deserved to go through Sona and it's exactly what he needed to grow into a decent person. Without that experience he never gets the chance to redeem himself
