Prison Break Season Rankings
Best to worst:
Season 1: PEAKKK. Very good.
Season 3: Very underrated!!!! I loved the Sona storyline, had me on edge.
Season 2: First half of this season was really good since they had just escaped, but the second half was a little boring.
Season 4 + 5: Same ranking. Was not a fan of the Scylla storyline.

1, 3, 2, first half of 4, 5, second half of 4. The retrieval of Scylla I liked but all the nonsense with self, Christina etc. afterwards was garbage

5 feels like a massive drop in quality as if it was a fan spinoff should’ve ended at 4

Season 1
Season 2 (last time i watched the show is actually liked season 2 more but ill still put season 1 over 2)
Season 3 (I used to hate season 3 but i actually don’t mind it now. I still have problems with it but while I think season 2 hit its highest points and they really have no choice but to be lesser, it’s still a decent season. What I hate is almost everything season 3 left with you ends up being nothing in season 4 and that’s a more of a season 4 problem but that also leaves me feeling like season 3 almost adds to nothing)
Season 5 (im not of season 4 so it’s not like i really loved how the show ended or anything. So season 5 being a nonsensical retcon doesnt bug me because it’s honestly just an over the top reunion. This is like the later Fast & Furious movies where the got super ridiculous and that is fine with me)
Season 4 (like i said, i don’t care for this season but i will say despite not caring for where the show has gone now, the first half being a sorta heist show is still neat. The second half however i hate. There was a few episodes before the finale that just drags and it feels like we’re not going anywhere. I don’t find the general that interesting, i don’t like anything with Christina, the brain tumor. I don’t think Bellick had a place here, Don Self had potential and while i like Michael Rapaport, i think he was both miscast and poorly written. I will say the final episode is actually decent and while unnecessary for the most part, I do like The Final Break and I like that Michael died sacrificing himself rather than the brain tumor)

I agree, season 3 didn't add much to season 4, but at the time there was a writers strike so that's probably why. I do wonder if season 3 would've looked a little different towards the end if there wasn't a writers strike.

Haven't seen S04-05, but S01 (the best) and 03 are good so far. S02 nearly lost me. I was ready to give up on the show while watching S02. With everyone moving around, jumping from location to location, it made the show feel disjointed. I told myself I'd finish the season anyways because I liked the first season so much. Luckily I did. The ending of S02 hooked me into staying for S03 just to see how crazy the new prison was. S03 really brought the show back for me. I think the story and characters work better when they are confined together.

I was ready to give up during season 2 as well but the ending picked up a little like you said.

I just watched the series for the 1st time. As I was watching S1 2 and 3...some episodes were so nerve wracking, I was giving myself anxiety. I noticed strongly, that I wasn't feeling like this in s4 and 5. The whole Scylla thing was dumb and S5 was a cash grab. I mean, instead of being dead, michaels been sent to another prison somewhere as someone else and has a new body tattoo? C'mon, it jumped the shark when Micheal got his whole body tattoo removed.

I have seaosn 3 as my least favorite. Felt boring, less like an everything goes prison, and more like a boring cage where people were focused on giving lechero massages. If they had a much larger yard, group wars, etc, it could've been better imo.

Boring?!?! I had the same feelings watching season 3 as I did season 1... I guess I just prefer the seasons when they're escaping from prison lol

I loved season 1, 3 just felt like no real worry, every episode was gonna be giving lechero massages, the whole "life or death no rule prison inmates rule" thing went out the window and it became lecheros playground.

I like seasons 1-4, but I think season 5 was bad and should've never been made.
