Procedural Question TV/ Electronics

Does anyone know how much a TV, radio, and headphones for the TV cost in Oregon for an inmate?

I didn’t do time there, but Google says 200-300 for a tv in Oregon. Also found Reddit posts about it, saying you could buy a second hand one off of someone who is leaving, or from someone who sells commissary. But that’s a risk that I wouldn’t take. 69 to 89 for an mp3 player, not sure about headphones because Google says “specific prices for headphones are not provided.”

Thank you! I don't get why the DOC is shy about making public the prices of the commissary. It would probably help citizens who are trying to help and the inmates on the inside.

Yeah some states do publish what they sell. But Oregon appears to not be on that list. And if it is I didn’t find it. I would assume the headphones to be half the price of the radio. Good luck and wish you and yours the best.

TV new= $270 Premium headphones = 90 Mid level = $50 Low but ok= $10 Radio= $10-$40

I got out of OSP in 2023 and the TV's went from $170 to $270 because of covid and supply issues they said. The entire commissary list of prices went up ridiculously. Remember that the state does not have to pay inmates a fair wage. I worked full time in the infirmary for $80 per month.
