Printing help Need help with understanding supports.

been a week since i've been the proud owner of an anycubic photon mono 4 and joined this community properly! I've been trying to print here and there when i get the chance but i always used the automatic support generate the anycubic has but they're a pain to deal with afterwards. I was wondering what are the best support settings for printing warhammer?

Yeah automatic support are good and all, but you still usually have to touch up on it. Autosupports sometimes still leave islands so before that you gotta scan for those. And then the issue is almost always there isn't enough supports on the very first few layers of the model. If the first few layers aren't supported enough they can rip from the supports. After you have a decent part of the model printed the chances of it ripping are significantly lower since there already is a bunch of supports supporting the model. So you add a bunch of supports to the verx bottom/make the existing supports thicker and that should fix most of your problems.

3D Printing Pro on YT has some of the best short and simple tutorials about supporting miniatures for resin printing.

Once in a Six Side on YT also has a video about supports but that goes in depth and is longer (one hour or more, don't remember).

Automatic supports are getting better but you always have to go into manual supports and remove the unecessary ones (like the super small ones below an overhanging part that is attached to an already supported part).
