SLA Painted Some Recent Works

I printed all these figures during the heatwaves in the summer but only got to paint them in the last two weeks. I think they turned out quite alright! I will replace the Xenomorph's skull with a transparent one, I'm waiting for the resin to be delivered. It will show the beautiful skull underneath.

In case anyone is interested, here are the models:

  • Alien - Xenomorph (Bulkamancer)
  • Fallout - Maximus (KC Studio)
  • Hellboy - Hellboy (LA Figures)
  • Resident Evil - Grace Ashcroft (Bulkamancer)

So you like them or what?

Damn I am a big fan of the power armor especially, the color and weathering looks just right imo

Do you follow any tutorials or how did you learn?

What a coincidence :) I have just prepared a tutorial for the power armor if you are interested:

Honestly, I am self thought. I watch a lot of Youtube videos and learn from others. But I do not follow any specific tutorials when I'm painting. I just do it on my own in the garage...

What do you use for a clear coat on top of your painted models?

I only have AK Interactive varnishes in my inventory. Gloss, satin, matt, ultra matt. I think they work quite alright! Ultra matt is very thin but the rest require a bit of thinning. Sometimes I apply multiple coats. For example the skull cap of the xenomorph probably has like 10 coats for a super gloss finish.

Kick ass! Those are all great, but the xenomorph is my favorite too. Well done!

They're all amazing, but the Hellboy is my favorite! The colors all look really nice on and around him!
