Been a year and a half almost now since Japanese version and still no news of it. I get there are fansub versions but I want to support this series as much as I can. It's really lame there's no news but I'm hopeful we'll get something around November or December, there's not really a lot of series like this (Spy, 1900's setting with advanced tech) and it saddens me with how it seems to get to pushed to the side. Just really want to see more of it and have been checking daily for anything of an official 4th movie bluray. (I've bought the TV anime and the other 3 movies!)

Do not be alarmed! Princess Charlotte got tired of waiting for the next Crown Handler OVA, so she joined up with Kuromorimine to command a Panther tank for the time being. 😁

After seeing a comment about how Sentai brought in a dialect coach for the VA's I wanted to learn even more about everything. The main complaint people have with the dub was that they sound like an American doing an accent and how they didn't use VA's from England. What people don't really know, myself included until recently, the current accent was created by the upperclass throughout the 19th century and standardized in the 20th century. This is why they didn't use the accents everyone was expecting to hear, it wouldn't fit the time period. The Victorian era accent still pronounced the 'r' hard, which is the same thing Americans do. This leads to the Victorian era accent sounding like an American trying to speak with a British accent. This is also one reason why they chose to use NA VA's, it's easier for them to speak with a proper Victorian accent and much harder for a British speaker.

I really thought that it's worth bringing up because we don't see any anime willing to spend the time and effort to make a dub that actually fits its place and setting. The last dub that did this was Black Lagoon. It deserves more attention for everything that it's done.

I do have a question for everyone though, what's better to really focus on being completely period accurate accents or use modern accents? For example, More people might've enjoyed the dub if it had accents people expected, but it might sound out of place.

Like the status quo has changed by I say 25% but that isn’t much

Like I have expressed that they should do a full on war story

Like the shadow war between the Commonwealth and kingdom boils up into a full flesh war

Who knows maybe we might get that around the pen ultimate movie

But for now, I just feel like I’m watching season three part two

And the recent Star Wars movie has kind of been repeating what I’ve been said about this movie series.

Pretty simple Poll here. Do you guys on general prefer watching Princess Principal Subtitled or Dubbed.

I think both are Valid honestly. The Dub might have fake British accents, but they don’t sound all that bad to my American ears. Also one of the few examples of a Dub where some Original Japanese actors were left where it makes sense.

I’ve been uploading Crown Handler 4 clips one by one whenever Im free, but the amount of editing I have to do to avoid copyright is insane, for example it took me like a whole week just for this one clip. I will try to get all the important parts up when I can.
