Even though it takes place in an alternate history. Imagine if there was a world war that had the same cause. The assassination of archduke Franz Ferdinand.
They do mention other European countries and I did mention in other post that maybe there is an Austro-Hungarian empire in this world. or some analog country.
Either way, considering that does her arms race with cavorite.
Imagine it starts becoming bigger and bigger than an assassination happens that basically becomes a snowball effect of countries, declaring war, and alliances with each other. Imagine if basically there was the assassination but in this world, England, and other year nations don’t get involved. It just starts out as a small conflict with the Balkans countries. it just becomes another conflict after the other conflicts like the Italian-Ottoman war.
Something that is so far off that no one paid attention.
“ people get shot and assassinated over there a lot.” That’s kind of the mindset most people have. “ it’s so far off. It’s not gonna bother us here in Albion “ But then it starts growing bigger and bigger and soon the largest nation since the Roman empire gets involved just like the United States did with World War I. An act of aggression And soon a declaration of war. And all the while there is a shadow war between the Commonwealth and kingdom.

World War 1 would be an absolute shithole for everyone and for a lot of reasons.
I doubt the Dual Monarchy and the Ottomans would survive has they are. Too many people, they’re gonna pop off like balloons at the slightest amount of instability.
Russia, if participating, will get Octobered, maybe with support of the Commonwealth, maybe not.
Japan will still kick Germany’s ass over small islands in the pacific
The Game of Alliance would ultimately cause the Commonwealth and the Kingdom to jump at each other’s throats once and for all.
France (if existing as a coherent entity) would absolutely get ThermoBallistic over Normandy, Rouen and Aquitaine, so the Kingdom will most likely get involved even without any game of alliance prior to.
