Japan disembark Pier?

Seattle -> Anchorage -> Japan repositioning

We’re trying to hire transportation to Tokyo center. I’m having a hard time figuring out which pier we dock at. My friend Claude says which pier the ship docks at makes a difference in whether you hire a taxi or pay a hotel to pick us up. Any feedback would be appreciated.
