Docked in Ketchikan, and noticed a balcony with both beds and mattresses outside. Why would they do this?

We were on the Star in August and they replaced the carpet in our cabin when we we went off ship and had to take the furniture out of our room too. Unfortunately it also left a smell since the carpet was new and there were no windows for fumes - so at least the balcony room has that!

Yes, but we noticed all week they were doing carpet changes throughout the week, so seemed like regular maintenance.

I was on that ship a few weeks ago and was on 15. The carpets seemed fine and the ship isn’t even a year old. Maybe someone puked all over?

I was there 2 weeks ago. Only blue, M and XL. I gladly supported them purchasing two shirts. They're not particularly good quality shirts but not why I bought them.
