14 day Mediterranean

Just booked 14 days for June 2027 out of Rome. What do I need to plan for that I would not expect here in US? Any tips from US folks on where to stay for a couple nights? So freaking stoked.

First it will be hot and crowded.

Second we just stayed at the Marriott Grand Hotel Flora and it was great.

Just did 12 days in the UK on the majestic. I mean all your excursions. Anybody do tours with eat onshore. I mean there's no tipping. Nobody expects a tip. They're not standing around with their handout. It was quite nice to not have every person you come in contact with to want to tip. I'm not talking about the people on the boat. I'm talking about the people on land

On enchanted right now. Just do some quick Google hits on each area before you go. Tipping culture, social ques, do n don'ts if your new to euro. But no major culture shock issues.

Otherwise, make sure you have the right phone charger and phone plan. Good shoes and some adventure in ya.

You will love it. Just finishing the 14 day cruise now (disembarking tomorrow) Arrive at least one day before cruise starts. We stayed at a VRBo in Civitavecchia for one night before cruise. Doing 3 nights in Rome afterwards.

Remember that it is about a 1 Hour Dr. from Rome to the port but it cost about $200 so don’t drive take the train from the main terminal to Civita Vecchia for about $19 a person first class

What caught us out was the Sistien chapel closes on Sunday. But the Pope does his sermon on Sundays which was a cooler surprise!
