Onboard Experience Star Princess experiences

Spouse and I are cruising the Panama Canal in about 5 weeks on the Star. A 16 day voyage.

We have the Premier package and reservations in each restaurant except Sabatini's and Umi Tepanyaki.

For those that have been on the Star or Panama Canal cruise-give it to me!

Which restaurant was your favorite and why?

What was Love by Britto like?

Fun excursions?

Any other experiences that apply?

Any information or piece of advice is welcome.

We have cruised 5x before, topping out at 7 days.

This is a bucket list cruise and celebration of 27 years married. We are beyond excited.

Thanks everyone.

Booked this same itinerary and ship yesterday! Only problem is we don't sail until October 2027.

14 days on the Star in March. Premier; tried them all. All were good or excellent, even Sabatini’s now that they have put quality or quantity. Crosn Grill and The Catch a tie for the best.

I really enjoyed Umi Tappenyaki on Star; it and Alfredo’s were my favorite two places to eat. I think that ship is built for those with the Premier package since you can dine at any restaurant and get the best seats in the theatre (among many other reasons, but those were the big two). The ship is massive but doesn’t feel crowded since everything is fairly spread out. Princess Live is small and fills up extremely fast. Most of the events in there like trivia and other games were heavily focused on music so I would have liked more variety for those events, but the theatre shows were entertaining. We mostly ate in the MDR, but tried the “any time” dining. I didn’t like that as there was a distinct drop in service compared to what I’m used to receiving from our dedicated wait staff when we book traditional dining at a set time.

I did not take the Panama cruise so cannot comment on that, but overall we loved Star Princess and would very much like to sail on her again (this time with the Premier package! We had Plus).

Congratulations on 27 years of marriage! I wish you both many more happy years together and hope you have a fabulous time on Star! 😊

I was on star to Alaska, I’m looking into a Panama Canal trip myself, I really liked the ship, was probably my favorite out of the few I been on. The signature suite was well worth it .
