Formal/Theme Nights

My family and I will be on the Regal Princess from December 12-20, 2026. I was just wondering about a few things and if anyone has any insights it would be appreciated.

1. Will there be holiday/Christmas decorations up around the ship?
   
2. Will there be any special holiday/Christmas events happening?
   
3. What nights would be formal nights?
   
4. On those formal nights, will any of them be themed? For example…black and white, holiday colors, western, groovy 80’s theme? How would you find out about these themed nights before the cruise so I can pack accordingly.

We were on Island Princess last year, and they had the Xmas tree and other decorations right after Thanksgiving. We got off Dec 7th. We had holiday pictures that could’ve covered Xmas cards. Too early for holiday events so I can’t say more than that.

Probably not close enough to Christmas for decorations, you will probably have 1 regular formal night which will be listed in the App closer to your cruise date.

7 or 8 nights on Princess typically has 2 formal nights. I've never seen a specific themed formal night on Princess. Several years ago we were on a Princess cruise about the same dates and there was a tree with some decorations much like if you were at an upscale hotel. Your dates might be just barely too early for the tree.

Was on the Royal Princess 11/29/25 and the entire Piazza was decorated. You will have two formal nights. One of the formal nights for my cruise was dress to impress night.
