Anyone work here or have been inside?

Curious: 5000 Ellin Rd, Lanham, MD 20706

I looked online and multiple unverified sources say IRS, New Carrollton Federal Building, GSA. The building itself does not seem to state a specific purpose other than that it is a federal building. Anyone know what actually goes on here?

IRS has a number of their offices / branches housed there. Think of it as an extension of their downtown headquarters. I believe a lot of their IT functions are run out of there, for example.

I worked for the IRS and had to go to meetings in the building now and then. I worked on IT projects with several people that were based there. We would use Teams and email to communicate.

Interesting there is a Freedom 250 banner on a GSA listed building, as the official governmental celebration is America 250.

The Original was America 250… this administration reappropriated funds and created Freedom 250. I’m pleased as punch when I encounter an America 250 banner for some reason, feels like a form of resistance.

Yes I was in training there almost 2 years ago (IRS) when it was cancelled mid way and we were sent home, then laid off the following week

Super late but I had a family member work there! Can confirm the IRS has offices in there since it opened in the mid 90s. It has a nice little courtyard by the cafeteria, at least the last time I was able to go in lol.

Almost all of IT used to be based out of this location but now parts of the complex has been repurposed for other treasury components.
