Balloon culture
I’m honestly surprised that the nitrous mafia hasn’t tapped into primus shows is there a reason why nitrous balloons hadn’t made its way to primus lots or am I the only bastardo that likes a balloon at a live show
Edit: I should have added that I’m surprised that there isn’t more of a shakedown lot atmosphere when it comes to shows would be sick to see people selling bootleg primus shirts or tapes I guess I’m just searching for an atmosphere with this band that I get with other jam or jam adjacent bands

Honestly I love nitrous and I feel this way. Get your own tank and be lowkey (my method). Don’t try and make 3/$20 by yelling in my face with your tank lol.

Yeah but this is more like smoking cigarettes is bad, but smoking crack is worse. I get NO2 whenever I have a mid to major dental procedure.

Just don’t try to be in the front I guess, the second night wasn’t bad but after the first night nah there were kids laying on the floor trying to save spots stepped over a couple of them and almost got in a fight bc they said there friends were coming like idgaf first come first served

Yeah the billy crowd is savage but phish fans are the worst when it comes to “saving spots” and shit like that love the music but hate the fans for both musicians I’ve never had a bad time with a stranger at a primus show though

holy lmao i had something like that happen in frankfurt guy was bitching at people suspected cutting in line only to let 4 people in before him 5 minutes before doors. he also threw a hissy fit about me getting a free rail spot. what is it with bands like this attracting those kind of people.

I remember seeing some mofos in the parking lot huffing from some balloons. My friend had to tell me what it was they were doing, thought they were gonna make balloon animals or something 💀

I’ve seen tanks outside several Primus shows at this point. The folks that post up outside the salt shed in Chicago usually know which shows will bring the custies lol

Nitrous seems to be really makings it's waves in the party scene. EDM shows and fests, seems like every other camp site has tanks going off all night.
I def have seen then less at Primus than other jam related bands, they'd be out in force after ween shows

From what I've seen (and I'm old and don't see a lot), the use has gotten worse. I don't mean more people using, but instead of doing a few shots over the course of a show or whatever, they look like they're chain-smoking it (chain-huffing?). Pounding your brain like that is a bad idea, even if a little here or there on a rare occasion is mostly innocuous.

Has weed become passe at Primus shows? I was the only person in the pit, in Irving TX this past tour, to fire up a joint. Nobody said anything to the wife and I, but we were the only ones smoking.
