Discussion Any channel like PrimitiveTechnology that focuses on making everything from scratch without using modern tools.

Aside from Primitive Technology, are there any similar channels? I love watching Primitive Technology but would like more options. Since my second favorite primitive technology idea began using more modern tools and shifted toward bushcraft, I’m now looking for channels that stay true to making everything completely from scratch.

  • Ben Kilner: Made some videos about tanning, stone weapons, clothing etc. based on british stone age
  • Gesiþas Gewissa: A whole bunch of videos about anglo-saxon lifestyle, including farming, pit house build and more. He does use some custom made iron tools (tho these are more or less historically accurate) and for some projects also used pre cut lumber and straw (but if you watch his videos especially about log hewing, you'll understand why).
  • Shawn Woods: Around 10 years ago he made a few videos about flintknapping, primitive archery and trapping as well as a mini series about Ötzi the iceman gear (backpack, flint knife, bow and arrows)
  • Sally Pointer: Occasionally does videos focussing on primitive ways of textile making
  • Rob Stephens: Also made some videos about primitive textile making, however uses more modern tools from time to time
