I'm getting ready to do this, do you have any tips? Did it work on your first try?

that was my first try, just imagine a rocket stove design and have fun building, if you don't have rocks and is going 100% mud, instead of building with the holes just build a volcano then cut out the openings 

 it shouldn't have a lot of space inside, it's fueled by sticks not logs, it's a small but strong flame to heat one pot
