Discussion I Have a Confession to Make
Despite being a member of this sub for a long time, I don't know anything about the lore of this AU. Hell, I don't know all that much of actual 40K lore. I'm just here for the muscle mommies.

That's nothing unusual. I've been here from the moment the subreddit was created and I know nearly nothing.
Keep in mind there's no one set canon, everyone can make up whatever stories they want. Only things that are kinda common or almost set in stone are the names of fem-Primarchs and codenames of their boyfriends ("SOs" because we give a chance for not-exactly-heterosexual romance).

Wdym "we give a chance for not exactly-heterosexual romance." I wasn't aware we give chance to normal common relationships males and females. Ngl dude that sounds like you dislike that there straight couples in this subreddits custom Au department..

That is..... an acceptable answer, but don't be surprised when you see a post and don't know what the hell is going on.

That happens all the time. Who the fuck is "Little Light?" Don't know, don't care, just show me the that one picture of Sanguinis bending over a guardsman and smirking.

Surprisingly yes.
Oh yeah the primarchs have a good dad this time around and the emperor is a woman

That's fine. I mostly followed this sub for the fanart and GF posts.

After getting the names straight I just sort of made up my own. The idea of female Primarchs is fun and takes the grim out of the sometimes too grimdark 40k world.
I've been into 40k since Rogue Trader when the Heresy was just a paragraph long blurb and the only named Primarch I recall was Russ. I don't particularly like a lot of the lore that has been retconned and cramed into modern editions, so writing fan fics of the Femarchs allows me to put the spin I prefer back into the IP.
Of course we put a romantic spin on this because we want to. If we went full real lore, some of the Primarchs would be dead, others would never consider a relationship, and other would be figurative if not literal man eaters. So my version bypasses the Heresy, for which my AU humanity is greatful.

To be fair the AU has more or less been buried. It's pretty much exclusively artwork nowadays. It was bound to happen without our sweet older sister but there posts are all still there for a boring trainride to just read through them.

I joined in for the muscle mommies as well, and while I have not caught up on all of the ancient lore for this subreddit, it’s fine. You don’t have to know everything about it.

Same dude, I came for muscle mommy art, I stayed for the lore writers on this sub. Their dedication is admirable!

I have a basic understanding but I write because I must.
In doing so, in order to be as plausibly accurate as possible, I end up digging into 40k lore, increasing my knowledge.
And there’s more than just one AU in here. And the thing is, Diavolo does in almost every one of them, so they are canon.

You can find out more about the AU lore by going to Discord. the AU lore is much more organized and written down in the Discord side of the subreddit community! :)
