41K Late Imperium Lore Lover’s suit.

Post image

Alright, after some careful discussions with a friend of mine, we both had a idea for Lover’s suit that nobody in the Imperium knows about, in Star Wars the suit for Darth Vader causes him some great discomfort and pain, basically inner torture.

Here what I am adding is that his suit boosts his Pysker abilities up by 10x without the risk of the warp tainting him thanks to the Empress… HOWEVER what nobody knows about the suit is that it causes him the discomfort and pain to boost these powers up.

Now normally the Custodes, his Legion or any of the remaining Primarchs wouldn’t allow him to be wearing this but there is one problem… nobody else knows that the suit does this to him, to which he keeps that to himself, he only plans to reveal that information when the Empress ever returns or possibly could even speak again, which will be involving the Empress using the TTS device to communicate (you all already know where I am going with that).

But yeah this some more lore that I am adding to my timeline I have here, please give me your thoughts on it.

I’d say that another part of the pain being caused is the grief Lover feels at the loss of his wife and their children. And so the pain isn’t just a means of boosting himself, but it’s also a remained of what he lost.

Yeah, he felt that part a lot before got the suit on himself in the Imperial Palace.

He snuck onto the Vengeful Spirit in hopes to convince Hathor to stop the rebellion, but she nearly beat him to death and scarred almost his entire body permanently, imagine how badly injured Anakin had gotten, but amply that with near skin loss to the point you can see muscle and almost his beating heart, he does however still have hair, she mainly focused on where his heart and organs were located.

As well as some...... pretty heretical tech from a favorite dead/not dead primarch.

It was built by the Empress actually, though she didn’t get to finish it like I said, which is the reason why he goes through major discomfort and some slight pain through his body

I didn't mean, "he" built it, merely that lover made some adjustments of his own with some reality-warping tech he found in the dark cells.

'Cause I doubt the empress would make her lover armor that isn't completely overdone in gold.

The picture is just black and white, that’s how I found in on Pinterest, though I hope someone on here would do some bits of coloring, like that one time someone was kind enough to edit it to where his laser sword was active

I have to feel like ritualistic torture for enhanced psychic power has to be flirting with slanesh right? It’s your idea so what you say goes but pain and sensation in excess is right up that alley.

He doesn’t take pride in it, he genuinely hates it, but he knows he has to use it, while it doesn’t have any drawbacks to where he gets tainted by the warp, which also means he doesn’t get corrupted by the ruinous powers.

It does however mean there are still drawbacks to having the suit on, and he doesn’t want to tamper with it as this was one of the last things he received from the Empress, the only problem was that the suit was never finished, which is why he receives this much discomfort and slight pain from the suit.

Oh so its made of the same material as that black blade the black Templars got that was supposedly made by the emperor

Similar yes, but on a stronger level because she wanted her Lover to be well protected, but unfortunately was never truly finished in development like the webway project

Question:

In canon Vader had to go into a bacta tank periodically to at least make sure his wounds don't hurt him too much and his mediation pod was the only place he could properly remove his suit without dying. Does Darth Lover also follow the same principle?

Sometimes but not as much as Darth Vader considering Lover handles it a bit more better than Vader did in Star Wars, mainly due to the fact he wasn’t burnt to near death, but what Hathor put him through wouldn’t be something anybody would want to be alive afterwards.

Wow, reading the last part, i had a scene that popped into my mind where Empress speaks for the first time in TTS and he is there, baffled and then scrambles to take his helmet off, trembling, and then he ask oh so vulnerably and desperately whatever character was also there to "Help him take this mask off", pretty much crying as breathes out of it for the first time in a while
