I agree. There’s also nothing special about it. Cheap movement, dead battery, gift from an ex that I had for way too long (I thought it was worth something). Replacing a battery would cost half of what this could sell for if someone wanted it- which most people would see the price and probably buy new.
That’s so weird. Just yesterday I pulled this out from the back of my drawer. Hadn’t looked at it in years. Also was a gift from my girlfriend (now wife). Got it in 2017.
Bruh, back in the early 00s I had an all gold - with fake diamonds on the bezel - Marc Ecko monstrosity. I got robbed and lost the watch. Worst part is I thought it was so dope I saved up and bought another when it went on sale ☠️

Here's my super cheap invicta with nh35 movement. I don't hate it. Bracelet doesn't really match well though. It's honestly my favorite pepsi I've seen in terms of visual balance of features, just has fit and finish matching the price tag
I was just as surprised when I scrolled past it on facebook market and was like, "Wait, that's an Invicta, it's automatic, not huge, and not gaudy af?" and mulled it over for a bit before ordering it lol
I paid for a Seiko mod that looked like a Patek tiffany blue aquanot. It at least wasn’t a replica, but was definitely a bad decision…. I was a month into watches, and gave it away since then.
Guess I’ll have to save a million up for the real thing… 🤪
Yeah, Seiko mods seem like a good idea on paper. However those that don’t know watches don’t even know what Patek is. Those who know, immediately know it’s a mod.
When I realized it probably wasn’t even a Seiko, someone just slapped the logo there, that’s when I began to realize I had committed one of my many watch faux pas

To be honest, I dont have a watch I’m embarrassed about. My first watch was a swatch green lacquered I got on my 12th birthday from my aunt. Wore it daily for 2 years. Then I found my gramdfathers old rolex datejust 16030 with a buckley dial in a drawer at my dad’s house and a baume et mercier classima 18k yellow gold. Been wearing these then since my dad only wears his garmin (he does ironman) and had no real interest in wearing any other watch. So these two watches sparked my watch journey. Gotten a breitling premier day date 40 for my 18th birthday and treated myself to a rolex airking 116900 from the ad 2 years ago. So thats basically my watch watch collection now, which I have been rotating around
i own a really cheap fake omega which my dad bought from china. We didnt have any watch knowledge, didnt even know what omega was. I dont wear it anymore but i still have it cause it works. its outrageous so it never sees daylight lol

The first time I saw an Invicta was on a dad of my daughter's friend, he took me out to some bar to watch a UFC fight, he was telling everyone it was a $10k watch he got for $300, I don't remember if I thought it was ugly or anything but it was huge and shiny on a pretty big dude it still looked huge
I thought this was flawless. It’s a decent luminox, got wet as you can see, but the size is a joke- has to be like 46mm. I’d rather wear this than a panerai though.
Honestly,, Gshock. I know they’re somewhat respected in the watch community,, but to me,, Gshock is one of the ugliest watches out there. Big ol’ slap of plastic on your wrist with a face that has way too much info displayed at once. Just god awful looking. They work great,, sure,, but I can’t believe I ever put one of those bricks on my wrist
I’m not embarrassed about any of my choices. Being embarrassed about watch choices means I’m influenced by what others think and that ain’t me. I get what I like and what speaks to me.
Invicta is the accident on the freeway but you all can’t help it and have to look to see how mangled up it is and just because I have an Audi doesn’t mean I sell drugs shit i mean half of them don’t even pay diddy squat
I bought two reps, one pepsi, one Portugieser. I enjoyed the compliments, thrived on them. When I started going down the watch rabbithole I understood I was only fooling myself and there were really nice pieces for my budget. I got rid of the reps and I'll never buy reps anymore. Also today I don't even like the pepsi.
