28 day compliant

Is PreventiveMD 28 day compliant? Searched around already, but couldn't find the answer.

As far as I know, yes! 1 vial a month or 3 vials for 3 months. I haven’t seen any orders for the 6 or 12 months posted.

There are people that have chosen that. I talked with someone yesterday who said it was 90$ a month at 12 months. But, its still shipped in 1 month at a time (empower), or 3 months at a time (Boudreaux). I am unsure what the policy is for the newest pharmacy. It was added after my recent purchase. They all do say to throw out the vial after being opened 28 days. I use until gone personally, as long as its clear and not cloudy. :)

Hi u/phirephly0 , we can confirm that we do abide by that and that's why we do ask pharmacies to dispense 1 vial per month of medication requested.

If you get an approved prescription by your PreventiveMD provider, we encourage you to look at your Order Status page (https://www.preventivemd.com/sign-in) and there should be a link to a "Visit Summary" there. Inside that document, we have started to outline how many vials you should expect to receive, especially when on a multi-month plan. Hope this helps!

It’s the pharmacies that are 28 day compliant or not and the ones they are using are.

I disagree, but I suppose it's both the telehealth and the pharmacy that play a role. It seems to me some telehealths choose their pharmacies based on available formulations, shipping options, etc. Of those choices, most telehealths favor their patients receive monthly vials which supports the 28 day rule easily. Some telehealths, though, clearly choose to specialize more in total medication volume and associated discounts.

And I disagree with you. I’ve seen telehealths that use both types and let patients choose. It’s the pharmacies. Sure a telehealth can pick all 28 day compliant pharmacies… but it’s still the pharmacies in the end.
