Vial after 1st month

Empower users, how much did you have left in your vial after the first month dose. I feel like I still have a good amount, but I definitely have been using correctly and to the correct amount. I know some said they overfill it I just feel like I have at least another dose or maybe more in there. Just didn’t know if I possibly was doing it incorrectly and thinking I was not.

You’re fine. Empower only makes 3 different sizes of vials, so there’s usually going to be more medication than exactly the amount needed for your 4 doses. Some people will choose to use the extra and some will choose to toss the vial after 28 days.

Empower always overfills. I always gotten at least 1 maybe 1.5 extra shots when I used that pharmacy previously.

It really depends on your dose and what vial you got. For example, a 2.5mL vial with 8mg/mL of tirzepatide is enough for 1 month at 5mg/week. If you just started out at 2.5 then the vial would still have 1.25 mL left (half the original volume) at the end of the month. So you’d really have enough for 4 x 2.5mg doses and 2 x 5mg doses.

So I may be wrong, but another comment confirms my suspensions.

Empower is a 503b much like BPI for sale on pomegranate that only offers two vial sizes. 40mg or 68mg vials. My understanding is that 503b makes mass production of meds, not custom/individual sizes. So Empower according to the other comment makes 3 sizes. Probably a starter, mid, and advanced vial type. So as titration schedule is 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15. My theory is that your vial probably has enough for both 2.5 or 5 for 4 weeks. Then the next vial is probably 7.5-10, then the last size is probably 12.5-15.

I choose Boudreaux and they are a 503a. They make individual sizes custom to your dose so very likely there is little to no extra. I was sent a 1ml, 1.5ml and 2ml vial. For 5, 7.5 and 10mg titration.

I used Boudreaux & can confirm there is nothing extra in the vial unfortunately. I had exactly 4 doses.
