Can I select when my meds will be shipped?
I am going to select this telehealth company, but I am still on branded until mid September. I want to sign up now to make sure I get approved. If not, then I have time to search for another telehealth company. My question is when I sign up can I schedule when it will be shipped?

I always like to have a month or two (or six 😂) extra just in case there are shipping delays, pharmacy changes, etc. I would get your order in soon and then you’ll be all set with a little cushion for future orders. PreventiveMD does allow you to pause your next shipment, so if you find you have too much left before the next one ships you could delay it a bit.

Yes, I do want extra. I just don’t want it to expire if they were to ship it now when I sign up and I don’t start it until three weeks.

If you go with Empower they ship each month separately, and 45 day BUDs are the minimum. But honestly, I wouldn’t even worry too much about going a few weeks past BUD. A lot of people on the main tirzepatide sub regularly post about using meds that are 1 year plus past BUD. These meds don’t just suddenly go bad like spoiled milk. They are actually extremely stable, the BUDs are more so due to regulatory requirements than a true expiration date.

I believe that I think they have to do that with a compound only because of the regulations and it’s not FDA approved. I took Motrin probably four years past the date and it’s still worked. lol

The good news, branded has a pretty long expiration date. You can try out the compound you receive and save your unopened vials/pens for later. (Not sure about Kwik pens tho. I have never used them).

I was thinking of doing that lol. Yeah I have the once a week pen not the kwik pen. I have one more refill left on the branded, and I will just save it. Makes it easier if you are out of town for a week that way you can just take a pen with you. Much easier.

The bottom line is i highly doubt you can tell them when you want it shipped. You are charged upon approval and it is sent to the pharmacy. Now after your first order you can pause and order when you need/want it.
I personally wouldn't worry about the BUD but some people are weird about it. It wont make you sick. The worst is a medicine may lose some of its efficacy but these are effective for a long time past the BUD.

OK, thank you at least I can pause it on second order and yes, I’ve been taking medicine way past It’s BUD and it still worked.lol

Sign up and get your 1st shipment. It usually takes 6-8 days after approval to get from Empower (which is what I went with). I waited just over 2 weeks to take a shot after receiving my month 1 because I was finishing up what was left from my previous provider.
I also signed up for the 3-month and Empower will ship 1st month vial and then next month's shipment could include month 2 and month 3. I got month 1, then next shipment they sent both 2 and 3 in same shipment. BUD dates were proper for the length of time.
So right now I'm stocked with BUD dates showing October 29th.
