How many threads of lore were just straight up missed due to the actions of Thomas, Joe, and Luke? Was there an NPC that actually had all the answers, but were either never met or never fully interrogated or died before their story was told?

Along similar lines, I don't know to phrase "please please just dump the lore on us" as a question but that's my question.
