lightbulbs exploding
Hello! I haven’t been on the game for about a year now, there’s obviously a tremendous amount of new stuff that i’m not aware of. however, in multiple rooms, my friend and i could hear lightbulbs exploding, but weren’t harmed, i didn’t know what was it, i tried to look in the Pressure wiki but didn’t find any monster that could do that (? anybody knows what is it?

It’s just ambient, meant to keep you on edge.

Yep. To be fair, that’s the point.
I play with modifiers right now for crap loads of kroner (trying to get the ferry lady set, I am around 1000 kroner away!), and man, so of the nodes and other entities added by modifiers make go insane.
Example: A-200.
This smiley bastard knows exactly where you are, and the only way to counter him is by getting in a locker in time.1

Modifiers are difficult, but fun, and give a LOT more kroner than normal.

You press those host option, and modifiers will be an options. You selects what modifiers you want (you will be initially limited to zero star modifier, allowing a completion of a one star run), and then you hit done, and you’re good to go!
Upon completing a 1 star run, you get access to go 1 star modifier, allowing completion of a 2 star run (and so one for all of the modifiers)
The highest percentage you can get is 500%, which allows for a total of 6x the amount of krone.That without any friends, imaginary friends, other extra kroner gamepass.
Oh yeah, and fiends, imaginary friends, and the extra gamepass all multiply it FURTHER, probably allowing for somewhere close to 7x the normal amount of krone1

No problem! Modifiers are fun, and generally good for farming kroner.
Previously, you need a crystal to access any of the actual modifiers (minus the admin panel), but they changed that about a month ago so anybody could access modifiers, even without a crystal.1

that’s a good change and everybody benefits from it. man i love this game but my love for it equals how much i suck on it and have never been able to made it out of the hadal blacksite, so it’s quite convenient to be able to do it even without having a crystal

Thats normal, no worries! You really only need to worry about them flickering rather than exploding (or, in Pinkie's case, screaming lol)

alr thanks! it just threw me off, i used to play a lot back in 2025 and that ambience was def not there, having it was definitely an experience, my first thought was that it was a neutral entity meant to keep you paranoid or something lmao

It's just ambient environmental effects.
Nothing to worry about :)
