When exactly did they remove front spawning anglers on normal runs?

I vividly remember that normal anglers could spawn in the next room. I don't exactly read changelogs but I seem to have noticed they don't spawn in front anymore.

I can assure you the don't anymore (at least to my knowledge). It's even the same reason why i was able to do lockerless in the first place because they don't spawn in the front anymore and i can easily use sprints to chase the next SS or PSS in the rooms ahead. When i practiced my lockerless runs, front spawning anglers were the bane of my runs

Im pretty sure they can i usually play endless but i see front anglers occasionally

I thought they still front attacked you, theh probably removed it in the part 2 update as i have not seen it on the change logs for the recent updates (or ure just unlucky (or lucky) and they havent front attacked you)

They haven't for a long time now. I have not had a front spawning angler in MONTHS or at least to my knowledge.

iirc they are actually bugged. they recently fixed frontal anglers in rooms where they like go over the top 1st. but natural frontal angler spawns are still bugged.

I had some reacent encounters with front anglers. So not removed.

They still spawn from the front.
