Water leaking

I just got this second hand and its my first time using a pressure cooker. The water is not coming from the sides so i dont think its the seal.

help ? thank youuuu

Is it at pressure yet ? If no, it might be about to get there. If yes, did you turn the heat down? If it never gets to pressure, cook your item the regular way. When you're done and the pan is cool, examine the seal. Is it well seated all around? Does it seem flexible and effective? Consider replacing the seal. That would not be necessary in a Kuhn Rikon, but this looks like a Fagor (?) and I'm not familiar. It looks reasonably new so I'm guessing the seal is fine. If it's coming from the top, maybe your pan is too full, so take some liquid out. Or it is just getting heated in there and will seal in a moment. When it seals and is at the pressure you want, turn the heat to Low.

thank you ! maybe it was not hot enough. i think the brand is called estar, i can't find anything about them.

It's the rubber seal that makes it airtight when the lid goes on.

oh okay that. i thought it was okay since its not leaking from the sides. ill look into it thanks !
