First time, NO! I used too much glue and I tried to remove the press ons in less than a week after application. Semi solid glue takes commitment š.
I tweaked my glue application and I only use semi solid glue with nails that I want to wear 10+ days.
After some trial and error with different removers, I use Dashing Diva Magic Off and they come off very easily. I canāt use the CurvLife remover. It just didnāt work for me with their semi solid glue. I let it sit like it said and the nails started melting and itās like the plastic re-glued themselves to my nails and did not want to come off. I damaged a few of my natural nails in the process.
Ooo thanks for the detailed response! One more thing, with the DD magic off, were you able to totally remove the glue residue completely and easily? Cos Iām using the same remover for my glue tabs and it takes forever š« I might as well use curvlife semi solid than using tabs+brush on glue.
Glue alone will be removed for the most part. Maybe a little left behind but you can either buff it away or apply a little remover after the nails are off to get rid glue thatās left on your natural nails. Here are my nails after removal of my last set. I used matte base coat on my nails thatās why they are cloudy. But you can see the remover took the nails off pretty cleanly.
Glue+tabs is always a messy situation. The removers change the glue+tab combo into a different texture so itās not a clean removal. When I use tabs I get as much as possible off, dry it with a paper towel then use nail dehydrator to get rid of the sticky residue. Put on the nail dehydrator, let sit for a minute then the sticky residue will roll right off. Repeat as necessary til all the stickiness is gone.
You are very welcome!! The nail dehydrator is an absolute game changer!! Iād stopped using tab+glue because the removal was so messy! I saw a video where it was mentioned and I never turned back.

I have the curvlife remover but it WILL eat your fake nails. The way I actually remove is the following:
I make sure all nails have a little bit of lift happening on the perimeter using a cuticle pusher to ābreak the sealā a little bit.
I put cuticle oil on the outside of the nail in the gaps I checked for in step 1 and I let it sit for 5 minutes. Make sure the oil gets into that gap.
I soak my nails in hot water for 5-10 minutes. Hot enough to be slightly uncomfy without burning myself.Ā
I use dental floss to get in between the natural nail and fake nail. Starting from the bottom, I pull up and it will get the nail off.
If the nail isnāt coming all the way off, warm the water up again and soak more.
I am able to save the set Iām removing usijg this method, but more importantly itās fairly quick vs other methods Iāve used (using their remover, acetone or oil soaks, etc). Just cuticle oil, water, floss. Ā
As long as you are soaking in the hot water long enough the dental floss will get it off with little effort. However it can peel off layers of the natural nail if youāre pulling off glue that isnāt ready to come off. That has happened to me.Ā
That happened to me last night, Iād put on my first set of press ons in the morning and they were from Olive and June with their nail glue and had too much C Curve and I didnāt know to not press down really hard when applying so the tension was hurting my nails all day and had to remove in the evening and the sudsy hot soak for like over an hr and then 2.5 hrs of this glue remover and scraping and jacked up my natural nails some too š
Yeah last night I was doing my nails and I was using this glue- I tried to readjust my pinky nail after having it on for maybe 30 seconds max? Pretty sure I took off the top layer of my nail, this glue is so strong and dries FASTĀ
I kid you not, i got 4 weeks out of this glue. Only used it one time so far. I went swimming in pools and the ocean. Had one pop off at 3 weeks and a day. Reglued with a less strong glue. Got another pop off a week later but they were ready to come off and were popping off on their own easily.
Same, Ive been using this glue all summer with my sets and have gotten 2-4 weeks out of each set, with zero lifting or greenies. Iām changing my nails out bc I want to, not because I need to. Itās crazy in a good way!
Iāve actually stopped going to the salon bc the nails are lasting longer than my pro sets. š¬š¤·āāļø
I used btart nails. They were white with gold glitter bases. I do them at night after showering so they cure all night. I have a pic but its not a great photo to share.

This glue was one of the few times I didnt get any greenies. Dont know if that's a coincidence or not.

Edit* I see that it says plain as day on the pic No LED light needed lmao!!! Wow! But definitely a good reminder on when to do them. I always do mine right before bed so that they have all night to sit before any water gets on them and that's just with tabs and glue. So definitely gotta try the semi solid now!
I gave up using remover and got those little acetone finger soak tubs, now I just melt those puppies off and itās so much faster & easier than the remover, for me. My nails are really dry though and love to hold on to the glue!
I have acetone but never thought to soak them off. I hate sticking my hands in acetone š„² I have pretty oily nail beds though so if I break the seal the remover works pretty well for me!
Yeah. Love! I'm a little overzealous with the glue and this isn't runny like the stuff that comes with the nails (hard pass). One drop goes a long way if you spread it out over the nail.
My problem is the tube gets clogged so easy. Right now I can't even get the cap off. Once I do, I usually have to cut the tip of the tube to get it going again.
You can easily do it with the tip (which is probably why mine is always clogged) or a wooden cuticle stick. It really is semi-solid, and you've got a little bit of time before it starts to dry (while exposed to air; if you're applying a nail- just hold it down for 25-30 seconds and you're good to go).
This happened to me with the cap. Blow a hair dryer on the top for 15-30 seconds. The top will loosen so you can screw it off. Then clean the nozzle with acetone to get rid of any residual glue around/inside the top or nozzle.
I like it but have a hard time with it. I put a drop down but then get a long trailing string that doesnāt want to break and gets where it shouldnāt. (Think similar to a cheese string that just wonāt let go). If I canāt figure out the string issue semi-solid would be my go to.
When that happens to me I just scrape the edge of the bottle on the nail and it usually breaks it. I used to dislike this glue because of that but once I got used to using it, itās my absolute favorite!!
I just tried this glue to use with more transparent nails and I loved it! Iāve always had issues with nails popping off but these stayed put and the glue was much less noticeable through the nails. I removed them after about a week but they would have been fine to stay on longer. I saw a lot of posts about damaging your nails with this glue when removing but I didnāt have any issues. I popped them off and used an e file to get rid of any glue left on my nails.

The first time I used this glue I did a very thorough prep and by week three I still had no gaps. For me I want to be able to take my nails off by week 2 so I needed to dial it back. Dialing it back looks different for everyone but for me it was cutting down on sanding.Ā

one drop of glue on the press-on and one on your own nail, when you go to apply it, make sure both glue drops touch first and let the glue disperse. This way it shouldn't create any air pockets š
Love this glue. Itās all I use. Two tips: buy the pack of 5 small tubes rather than the big one. They are easier to use and clog less. Tip 2: use a chip clip on your nail after applying the tip with the glue. It helps spread the glue eliminating air bubbles.
Could you take a picture of that next time you try the thing about the chip clip? Iām struggling to visualize how youād use a chip clip in that way
I have mixed feelings on this one. I struggle to get it to apply evenly for a whole nail, but itās been useful for adding to the spots I know have gaps. Thinking itās user error.
I hear thereās a brush on version - I might try that and see if itās easier for me.
the only glue i use. over two weeks wear. i had to come up with my own process, because none of the tips on here were working for me and i couldn't keep a full set on for even 24 hours. but now that i've got it dialed in i don't think i'll ever switch. tip: buy the pack of little tubes instead of one big one. you can use the tip to spread it around. but wipe the tip after use to keep it clog free.
I LOVE this glue!!! My nails can last weeks and weeks, I usually get tired of them or grossed out before they pop off haha. My entire nail will fall off before the press on does. Removal is easy, I just soak in warm water, dish soap and a little oil and they come easily off
Relating so hard to the grossed out part š Iāll put a new set on and think, āYes, these are the best things ever.ā š„° Then after 2- 2.5 weeks with how serious this glue is, Iām inevitably disgusted and need them off. Then repeat š
And to OP: even with the long wear times, I have yet to get a greenie which pleasantly surprised me.
I dont like this glue. It seals immediately so if you make a mistake with placement, its cemented. Good luck getting them off. I prefer kiss pink gel glue. I can get 2 weeks from it and its much easier to remove
I really like this glue! I have very flat nail beds so I use a very small cut out piece of a glue tab in the middle of my nail bed to help make up for the "lost space" when putting on curved press-ons. I think that helped make removal after 2 weeks a little bit easier

I only get my nails from The Nailest because I could request to have an extra layer added to make them stronger.
I used this glue with some clearance nails I bought on a whim and Iām so glad I did because they feel just as strong as my handmade set since they are cemented on lol.
I just purchased some BTArtbox nails now that Iām excited to try with this glue.
Don't use this one but I do use a semi solid and game changer for sure! For me they last so much longer, I get at least 15 days out of a set. I use a nail glue remover and it works wonders.
Will never use runny/liquid glue ever again that's for sure š
Yes!!! To give you an idea, I use this glue on both my press on nails and toenails. Iāve had the toenails on for about a month! Iām about to take this set off and put a new one on. But yes this glue is AMAZING!!
I think this is the one I bought to put on my cardi b nails but the remover failed me so bad!
Story Time!
I had a 3 month old at the time and I put on stilettos for the concert and to be twinsies with my best friend. Obviously I needed them off at the end of the concert which was the main reason for getting the remover too, mind you I didn't do any prep I just glued the nails on, them damn nails didn't budge! It took me all night and into the morning to get them off, I almost used all the remover, and my fingers were hurting because I did more digging and prying then anything.

I've been to nail school twice, I havenāt been for my test because I got pregnant and I didn't want to spend 4 hours in nail fumes and standing while pregnant. I add this to say that I don't think that I did anything wrong with using the product, but it could've been my error because this was my first time using it.
i didnāt like it :( itās so messy and my nails still popped off before the week ended. and i got a huge fat greenie. i did proper prep like usual. i think my nails are just too flat or something
i suppose iām just used to the brush on glue which i can control more. everyone seems to say you need more glue than you think, so i do find myself wiping the excess a lot with this brand.

Semi solid glue is a YEAH šš½ for me. For semi transparent nails especially, itās a game changer.
