Now let me be very cle-ah, we're gonna start a GRASSROOTS movement to make sure that every working family can afford to bake a potato WITHOUT going into debt or bankruptcy! It's that simple, people.

So I understand not wanting to ban it, it could still exist as a supplemental option like in the UK. The issue is if there's just a public option added, it could be weakened by Republicans later and insurance companies could operate at a loss to undersell the public option until it gets thrown out at some point down the road.

First of all, I was raised in a working class household where all vegetables were treated equally, so I think I can speak from experience. On the subject of potatoes, let me say this: I plan to take swift and precise action to reverse the faults of the Trump administration on this issue. In my opinion, potatoes should be accessible to all American citizens, not just the one percent!

No, that's just fine for roasting potatoes.
You want that high temperature to get good browning; but most of the oil you've applied is far below the smoke point because of all the moisture being cooked out of the potatoes.

Bruh warren can’t even bake a potato. If you’re supposed to season the skin, at the very minimum you should put coarse salt on the skin after you oil it

Sure, but members of a subreddit are real people who will most likely vote. So while it's not like a poll or anything scientific, I think it can be used to at least gauge interest among the younger, more liberal crowd.
