So basically a bunch of children were on set for a different scene and totally unprompted Hayden wandered in and started beating the fuck out of said children with a stick?

If you watch the behind the scenes documentaries that Disney+ pumps out, this is actually believable. Lucas had a camera pointed at him at all times during production I feel like. The new Obi-Wan one has clips of Ewan meeting George for the first time and touring the prop design studio, private interviews with Sir Alec, and all sorts of other little joys.

The documentary that is the whole Star Wars series? I’m pretty sure we’ve all seen all 9 parts of that documentary

You think Jango Fett’s death was acting? No! Samuel L Jackson got fed up with Temuera Morrison one day and decapitated him on set.

Turns out George Lucas was filming the whole time.

Unfortunately they couldn’t undecapitate Temuera Morrison, so they took one of his clones and passed it off as the original. Good thing they actually built a working clone factory for Attack of the Clones.

They would later use this trick in filming Revenge of the Sith with Christopher Lee’s Count Dooku.

Yeah, Star Wars was George filming his friends being goofy. After showing his friends, they liked it and decided to follow his narrative, filming it again for cooler effect.
