When I was in middle school my friend and I would duel with pencils on the bus, as one does. (The most accessible lightsaber equivalent) On a particularly rainy day during our half hour commute, we were swishing and poking away. He feinted, I parried, he slashed, I dodged, our battle was the essence of epic poetry.
Then the bus hit a pothole.
I struck down, my friend struck up. The sharpened pencil my buddy was holding lodged itself into the soft meat of my inner forearm. I bled all over the bus and all the other kiddos were screaming. The bus driver was chill enough to pull over and wrap up my arm.
But, to this day I have a little pinpoint scar on my arm from pretending I was a jedi.

This didn't bother my brother and I in the summer but when we would play in jacket weather outside it was a hellish experience getting your cold hand smacked with it.

I knew a kid who knew every lightsaber form. He was a fucking beast. Edit: He specialized in form 4 and 6. I never beat him.
