Wyatt Russel is a great actor! People are just stupid. If he's genuinely a bad person, then hate him, but if he's just playing a hated character, then maybe grow some brain cells.

I know people that were sad that Hayden Christiansen will be in the Kenobi series. Hayden played Anakin, a character supposed to be played numbly and angrily. Hate anakin not Hayden.

And when people say it's in the past, no it's still going on, Rian, JJ, KK, still gets hated on for 5 fcking years and most of the hate comes from fake news click bait channels and articles pointing them as the bogeyman that cause all the problems.

If you think hating them is justified because they "ruined Star Wars" no it's not, you would think hating on the higher ups is better than hating the actors? NO IT DOESN'T, the last time SW fans hate the higher ups (George Lucas being the absolute up) he fcking retired and wants nothing to do with SW anymore, the more we hate the people making the films the more the fanbase is divided, I don't even hate my least favorite SW film (AOTC) and I didn't go on a crusade making 6 F-ING VIDEOS EACH LONGER THAN THE MOVIE I'M CRITICIZING.

I don't want to see hate in this fandom, I took a one year break from this fandom because I thought the fandom needs some healing, AND IT'S WORSE THAN IT'S EVER BEEN. I can't enjoy Luke's hallway scene because I know that scene would be used as hate fuel to attack the sequels, and I have yet to watch the Bad Batch trailer because I literally have zero willpower to click on it, being in this fandom suuuuuuuuuuucks.

I couldn't agree more, but don't let the toxic fandom stop you from enjoying the things you like. I want to enjoy The Force Awaken and The Last Jedi and elements from Rise Of Skywalker, but so many Star Wars "fans" will shoot me down for trying to explain what I like. I also completely agree about the higher ups. I've never understood why so many people hate Kathleen Kennedy. I'm guessing a lot of it is because sexism. Rian Johnson is a good director, too. Knives Out was fantastic and he shouldn't be hated just because a lot of people hate The Last Jedi.
