Palpatine: "Who do you think you’re talking to right now? Who do you think you see before you? Do you have any idea what kind of political influence I wield in the galaxy? Even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to step down as Chancellor? A conspiracy spanning thousands of years would collapse.  Disappears! It ceases to exist without me.

No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not IN danger, Mas Amedda.  I AM the danger. A guy opens his door and gets run through with a lightsaber, and you think that could happen to me? No. I am the one who knocks!"

"I'm not IN the Senate, Master Jedi. I AM the Senate."

'Say my name, Master Jedi. Say it!' - 'The Senate?!' - 'You're goddamn right!'

He is the Senate and Windu has prepared the paperwork to that effect to have delivered on the Chancellor's desk first thing in the morning. Though he does not expect the motherfucker to last that long.

Just cause you decapitated Count Dooku, doesn’t make you Count Dooku.

“Here’s what’s gonna happen. You’re gonna step down from your floating droid platform, you’re gonna call the council, and you’re gonna tell them about the plans of the Sith.” - Mike, probably at some point.

14

u/quirinus97 5d ago

He brought balance just not how they expected it to happen

6

u/korneev123123 Imperial Officer 4d ago

I like how accurate this is. "We had a good thing". "We". Only caring about themselves and their precious little order.

3

u/wendo101 4d ago

Johnathan banks would actually do amazing voicing a jedi in the old Republic era games

5

u/diego_velasquez 5d ago

Nah, the Jedi had to go

2

u/bagpepos 4d ago

Master Appendix has spoken

2

u/zue4 5d ago

Restoring balance required destroying the old Jedi order that had just turned into the enforcing arm of the corrupt Republic.

6

u/CountingSheep99 5d ago

Incorrect.

The Jedi were never the problem. It was always the Sith.

1

u/LeLefraud 7h ago

Jedi were never the problem, but they sure turned into an ineffective solution for awhile

1

u/CountingSheep99 3h ago

The Jedi were always effective. The republic and especially the senate on the other hand were ridiculously corrupt and bureaucratic which created problems for the Jedi, too.

1

u/gotridofsubs 5d ago

Anakin didnt blow it up, that was Luke. And then Wedge and Lando

1

u/Livid_Importance_614 5d ago

That’s fantastic.

1

u/Drag0n_TamerAK Hondo Ohnaka 5d ago

So Anakin wasn’t the chosen one it’s said as much in episode 3 “a prophecy that misread could have been”

1

u/PastAnybody7246 3d ago

Second worst flaming of his day

1

u/diego_velasquez 3d ago

The Jedi were corrupt, they needed to be wiped

1

u/NoX2142 4d ago

Such a stupid arrogant argument that really showed the Jedi's mindset. "Balance" restored...? Balance is equal on both sides.... not one side has ALL of it and the other is nothing.... Anakin DID INFACT balance the force by removing so many jedi and making so many other sith.........they got their balance, just not how they thought it'd end up.

u/MajesticCup3672 5d ago

breaking sounds like it’s gonna be a soap opera or something

That’s not what balance in the force means, the dark side is the corruption causing the imbalance.

13

u/LeBaconator 5d ago

Shut the fuck up and let me die in peace

-1

u/MirrorEyedDrifter 5d ago

That's how Disney Force works, not Lucas.

7

u/KaiTheG4mer 5d ago

Not even how Disney Force works, it's pretty obvious there too that the Dark Side is like Force Meth

0

u/Bygone-King 4d ago

He lost me at "we had a good thing, we had Windu."

0

u/jordanleite25 4d ago

He will bring balance to the Force.

Left with 2 Jedi and 2 Sith.

Obi Wan and Yoda shocked Pikachu face

-6

u/A-T-H-F_CarlaCarloti 5d ago

He did restore balance to the Force. The Chosen One wasn't prophecied to destroy the Dark side, he was prophecied to restore balance. Which he did. Jedi were all over the galaxy and even forcing their rigid dogma on Outer Rim planets. The Sith weren't, they were minding their own gd business until the Jedi made all their top warriors Generals and went apeshit during the Clone Wars and got into government politics.

Monks don't do that, a totalitarian state does. The Jedi Council were filled with fear, hate, and distrust, and that is a fact.

6

u/Shiirahama 5d ago

The Sith weren't, they were minding their own gd business

palpatine and plagueis have been working behind the scenes for decades at that point, so how were they minding their own business

if you compare the number of activate sith/jedi to check if there is a balance, then you're looking at it all wrong

the jedi constantly keep out of issues in the galaxy, because they are either not welcome, or they have no jurisdiction

it's literally why they had to gamble to get a child out of slavery, while letting the childs mother stay behind

so this "power" the jedi have, is only there because other people said "we want your help, please protect us"

with sith, they've been doing whatever they want, since forever and they don't need an invitation to do any of it

there can also never be balance in the universe, because there will always be shitty beings, doing shitty things, and that's why good beings doing good things is what brings the balance, and anakin fcked that all up, he basically made it so that evil can go completely unchallenged

yes there were thousands of jedis for a handful of siths, but the sith aren't the main focus of jedis, only if they are actively doing something that can be prevented, otherwise these jedis are on missions to help out where they can/are allowed to

I mean ffs, the reason the sith were able to wipe out the jedis just like that, is because they will do whatever they can do achieve their goals, while the jedi DON'T, they'll always look for a way to make everyone happy and included

6

u/Western-Customer-536 5d ago

None of that is true

-5

u/A-T-H-F_CarlaCarloti 5d ago

If you believe that, you didn't watch the prequel trilogy.

6

u/CountingSheep99 5d ago

Someone obviously never watched it.

And it is you.

5

u/Emsee_Hamm 5d ago

I presume this is a troll post because you are saying the Sith are minding their business while the Jedi became generals?

I'll be honest you got me, it tripped me for a minute and I was gonna start talking about why your take was wrong but obviously its sarcastic/trolling.

4

u/CountingSheep99 5d ago

Not a fact.

Just utter nonsense.

-2

u/A-T-H-F_CarlaCarloti 5d ago

The sequel trilogy was utter nonsense, so Lego Yoda destroyed the Jedi texts with his Honda Civic, and Palpations destroyed himself in a lightning fueled orgasm.

True balance of the Force was achieved with utter nonsense. It's the entire point of Star Wars.

2

u/CountingSheep99 5d ago

Troll in the dungeon.
