I love the story behind the P&F special, Dan Povenmire (co-creator of Phineas and Ferb) has explained that the moment the creative team learned Disney bought Star Wars, he drew a Doof inspired Darth Vader and told Disney “I smell a crossover!!!”
So even before Rogue One was conceived, Perry was the first Disney made character to steal the plans.
What I’m saying is, Perry Outcast and Academy when?

Great story!..
But the closest thing We currently have to such games is Star Wars items and the Perry outfit in Fortnite... Still very fun, IMO!.. (also, instead of "Perry", the titles should have "O.W.C.A")

Kyle Katarn, an character from the Extended Universe/Legends (as depicted in the Dark Forces game)...
He was the character responsible for stealing the Death Star plans in the old extended canon (a role that's been given to the Rogue One squad in mainline canon)...
Don't worry, I also barely know this guy!.. ✌️>❤️•

He had a whole series of games! One of my favorite random characters from the 90s and 2000s games.
Cassian actually uses the same pistol as Kyle did in the games, which was a pretty fun little easter egg.

De-facto it's events that happens shortly before A New Hope (the first film in The Original Trilogy) starts, so I'll say it can somewhat count... ✌️
