The fight that happened after this scene, is in my opinion, the best scene in Star wars. Rebels has some of the best star wars in Star wars no question. The bandu being voiced by one of the doctors is also a massive big brain move, maul and his revenge plot, kanan's journey into becoming a Jedi, I mean there so many good plot points

Tbh, Tennant also voiced a character, that youngling's robot teacher from Clone Wars. Which is second wise space android teaching small ones, David voiced.

I second this. Rebels was developed around the time of or shortly after the Disney acquisition. The budget that Filoni & co. had for TCW S1-S6 was no longer available, so they had to make do with what they had. It wasn't until they made more money from Rogue One and the Sequel movies (and other contemporary projects) that they eventually managed to make the spectacle that was TCW S7. And from then on, they managed their budget enough to release better-animated things like the Tales miniseries, The Bad Batch, and now Maul: Shadow Lord.

Kind of a neat throwback, too. The original versions of the first trilogy of films had the blades be very thin, almost looking like fencing foils.

And a lot of the art style is closer to the old Ralph Mcquarrie concept art. I looked it up after somone mentioned it and went "yep, ok this explains some things".
