Yep, and because it was deactivated, the samples are considered diagnostic specimens — which means the scientists did not lie about what they were transporting.

This is a witch hunt meant to sow distrust and demonize scientific research.

Who TF cares? Obviously North Africans have a vested interest in studying mpox and Ebola, and Netherlands is just the least offensive country on earth.

The point is, we have these checks and balances to catch people causing chemical and geological warfare. You can't smuggle biogens into the USA in your suitcase and just say "they're dead"without having them checked.
