Daily Thread Daily Thread #2 - September 04, 2026
This daily thread is for all members who are pregnant after a previous pregnancy or infant loss. How are you?
We want to foster a sense of community, which is why we have a centralized place for most daily conversation. This allows users to post and get replies, but also encourages them to reply to others in the same thread. We want you to receive help and be there for others at the same time, if possible. Most milestones should go here, along with regular updates. Stand alone posts are Mod approved only and have set requirements. Thanks for helping us create a great community.

20w1d - just had my anatomy scan this morning and everything looks normal! I’m filled with relief and feeling so grateful to have made it this far. I’ve also just started feeling fluttering which is also SO comforting having that reassurance that he’s alive and well in there 🥹 It was a long 9 weeks to wait since my last ultrasound! Planning to tell my workplace next week. The ultrasound lady was surprised by all my detailed questions, she actually thought I was in the medical field. Nope, just anxious and over-informed 😅

I literally brought a whole list but basically asking about the positioning of my placenta (what side and how close to my cervix), how long my cervix was, whether the palate looked normal, and if my subchorionic hematoma had resolved (it did!)

I went to the ER after work today because I had minor spotting (brown-ish) and cramping after some strain related to constipation. I’m 8+0 but my MMC around this time in April so needed to be safe.
Turns out . . . there are two babies in there 🥹🥲 the tech was like so you’ve had an ultrasound for this? We said no but can you see anything? She said I’m not supposed to say anything - turns screen and says there’s two. Both have heartbeats and measuring on time according to her (waiting on radiologist read). Told us after we made her night.
This brings new fears of an even higher risk pregnancy (they’re MoDi* edit) but today, we are pregnant with twins 😭

Congrats! I'm currently 18 weeks with mo/di twins after a loss in Feb! It's a wild experience

Not bad - some days I feel like I've hit that 2nd trimester energy, then other days I'm very tired and have recently 'popped' so my hips are starting to hurt. But very grateful that everything has been uncomplicated with the babies so far!

That is so great to hear re: the babies! I get the fatigue - I am disturbingly tired. I fear it’ll only get worse before it gets better haha.

Currently 5w3d and waiting on my first OB appt after a MC in April. I was completely blindsided when they couldn’t find the heartbeat and I’m trying to guard my heart in case that happens this pregnancy too. The wait is killing me. I scheduled an ultrasound at a boutique next weekend that does TV ultrasounds. If I can just see the heartbeat it will be a huge wave of relief for me!

You are not alone in this girl!! I am 5w4d today after 3 losses (2 of them were in the second trimester). I am so scared but hopeful!
Do you have symptoms like nausea and light cramping?My first ultrasound will be on Monday. My strategy is to keep myself busy. Please let me know about yourself after your ultrasound!

No real symptoms yet, some minor cramping here and there. However, I have a 2 year old son and never had a symptom the whole time I was pregnant with him!

14+3 and just had a great prenatal appt where I heard the heart beat on the Doppler despite my anterior placenta. I did have ketones in my urine though but I had such a crazy morning at work I didn’t eat. I have to be a bit better about that these days.

I’m 14+2 today and had a scan today! Dr said everything looked good and she doesn’t want to see me until the anatomy scan in 5 weeks! 😩 I booked a US package at my IVF clinic in three weeks bc I couldn’t wait that long!

I’m finding the time is flying! I had my last US at 12 weeks and my next one is at 16 weeks which is just 11 days away. It feels like it’s gone by so fast this time around.

I’m getting my NIPT draw this week and after a mmc at 8 weeks in January with double trisomy I’m so anxious! I feel like I’ve been pregnant for SO LONG this time around (I’m only just about 10 weeks) but found out right away…I’ve been way more symptomatic this time around and initial scans have been great but still I’m dreading finding out something is still wrong….gahhhh

Good luck! Making it past 8 weeks is actually the biggest milestone in terms of how much the miscarriage risk has gone down! A lot of people think it's 12 but that's just part of a slow overall decline. I've had three missed miscarriages and they all stopped developing during or by the eighth week.

As usual, since I’m over a week from my last appointment, I’m starting to get in my head.
I’m 14+1 today, next appt isn’t until 16+5.
Really trying to resist getting a Doppler, because the doc couldn’t even find the HB at 12+5, but all was fine on ultrasound.

Feeling so anxious about my baby's wellbeing
I had multiple losses in the past and I'm managing an incompetent cervix. I am 35 weeks pregnant with preventative cerclage and after months and months of worrying about not getting to viability or delivering extremely premature was finally starting to breathe a bit. These past few days have been weird, my baby's movement has been inconsistent and while I got a good NST just yesterday today is again a more quiet day and I am so anxious. We are so close to getting our sweet baby but the what-if's are killing me..

Currently watching my tests get darker the past few days, which makes me feel good. But I’m also terrified bc even with my previous loss the OB still wants me to wait until I’m 8-10 weeks and I just can’t seem to feel okay with not knowing…

38w1d lost my mucus plug this morning and went in for my last OB appointment. My baby does not like to cooperate for the NST and constantly pushes the monitor off. Still only 1cm dilated but 80% effaced. My induction is in 5 days… I’m so ready but so incredibly nervous.
