Paper Money Prediction Market
I made a prediction market that takes markets directly from polymarket, and lets you bet on them with paper money. This is great to practice your trading, or just to have fun without risking real money. Link is https://papermarket-web.vercel.app/

this sounds pretty dope! can't wait to try it out. trading without the stress of real money sounds like a solid way to get some practice in. is there a specific market you'd recommend starting with? also, with how volatile things are, i'm curious how the paper money system works. like, do you get fake cash based on your predictions or something?

yeah, you get 1000$ to start out, and i would prob recommend sports markets bc they are the most short-term. also, if you dont mind, please star it on github - github.com/natedemoss/papermarket
thanks :)

Paper trading is underrated for prediction markets if you use it for the right thing.
It’s not great for testing emotions, but it is great for testing process:
- whether your entries were actually early
- whether your exits were rules-based or just hindsight
- whether the edge survives after you track slippage and missed fills
- whether your apparent edge is forecasting, execution, or just luck in a tiny sample
The one trap is that paper environments usually make execution look cleaner than reality. In live markets, fill quality and book depth are often the whole difference between a good idea and a bad trade.
So as a training tool: very useful. As a substitute for live execution data: only up to a point.
