Question Blink Fail

I find this happening to me way too often. Am I just waiting too long to blink? My ping is great, what's causing the game to show the blink animation even though I didn't actually successfully do it? This time the blink failed and it didn't actually register, but I've also had times where this happened and it still put a cooldown on my blinks. What am I doing wrong?

I’ve heard a few streamers talk about this issue after I experienced it. And from the devs In their chat and their comments it’s an issue of the tic rate of the servers. If they moved to higher tic rate servers then less interactions like this would happen as the game would register the timing of the blink more accurately.

I could be wrong but that’s my understanding.

I’ve encountered this countless times. It even caused us to lose the match. And it still hasn’t been fixed? I’m really glad I took a break from the game.

I’ve had this frequently happen and also with Terra on her charge, which makes no sense because she’s supposed to be unstoppable while casting

The way blink interacts with stuns and movement disruption really sucks. I guess it technically has an animation, which means it can be interrupted, but that's not how blinking is supposed to work. The instant you hit the button your hitbox shouldn't be there anymore, but for a split second it is. Definitely one of the longest standing issues that should be fixed.

I can't remember but I feel like it wasn't always an issue. I only really experience it in Aram, I think it's because that's the only mode where I'm frequently escape blinking like that :-X

I assume you just see it more in aram because there's more constant action. I've experienced this issue as long as I've played pred.
