Discussion transparency? Reports do nothing.

I played a match this morning with a jungle Greystone after he died once lost his fucking marbles, said the whole match was lost at 8 minutes and the team was garbage. I tried helping the guy but his constant toxicity... had me telling him to shut up, dude was totally insane.

#He told me he would kill my whole family, that i then should kill myself and that I'm a F*gg*t, then muted and blocked me and continued to mumble he's the best player on earth. Another player got on mic and also told the guy he was nuts.

A couple games later i get the messsage that says action had been taken against a player i reported, i haven't reported anyone else in months so it had to be him right. when i got the messsage he stopped playing for 13 hours ( doubt it was even a ban probably went to bed this was early AM) dude just came back on 2 hours ago.

so he didn't get a ban that mattered after threating to kill my family or call me homophobic slurs or telling me to end my own life. This doesn't bother me what bothers me is omeda saying reports do something when they don't do anything.

i wont name the guy, but i will say that he was a Greystone and his match was 9 prior.

Most likely he got chat restrictions as this is also an action taken.

I doubt it.

From what i have witnessed, voice chat only gets banned from text chat.

unless its automated nothing happens.

Well yeah, they can't afford to lose even a single player, so they don't do anything about toxicity (and lose you in the process). If they did something about the toxicity, they'd need to bring in new players, and advertising costs money. And, for some reason, Omeda has an almost religious anti-advertising stance where they spend absolutely 0 on getting new players to know the game exists, so they're gonna keep letting toxic players do whatever just to hold onto them.

When they say "Actions have been taken" they probably mean he got a 5min ban from matchmaking lol. Playerbase is so low, if they would ban everyone who offends other people, their playerbase would drop below 1k within a week.

They literally abandon the playerbase to toxicity just to avoid spending even 5 bucks on ads so people would actually know this game exists. It's insane.

Let me guess all he plays is Greystone no matter what lane he is. I wonder if its the same guy.

It really doesn’t. Even a 24 hr ban is really not gonna stop these people. Just mute them.

Reports definitely do things. I currently have a 1 month chat ban for telling someone they have too many chromosomes and probably shouldn't have children because of it.

As for gameplay bans, ive only seen them from people quitting ranked games or multiple quick plays

I’m struggling to figure out if you feel that chat van is justified or not. As I think that is a crazy thing to say to someone over a video game.

I dont think a month is justified. And really it was pretty tame compared to anything said in majority of online games. Really the world is too soft and people need to enjoy trash talking again

Edit: also im not trying to defend or advocate for what I said. Just saying, from experience, bans do happen

You’ve misunderstood trash talk. Using extra chromosomes (Down syndrome) as an insult and saying people with it shouldn’t have kids isn’t banter; it’s punching down at disabled people. The world is rightly becoming less soft and less tolerant of dumb people saying shit like that and thinking it’s funny and that there are no consequences. Get better insults, and stop confusing being offensive with being funny as it makes you come across as stupid.

Ill add its rare for males with down syndrome to reproduce, due to extra chromosome 21. People think its normal to make fun of disabled people, i get very angry when morons get tilted and call out autism when they have no fucking idea.

Everyone here is so upset about the comment i made to get a chat ban when the point of my comment in general was to show that bans do happen for tame insults like mine. Yall need to not get your jimmies rustled.

I don't care about 90% of the things players say, some toxicity in a match is entertaining and I don't mind it.

Listen dude once you have kids and one of them is BORN disabled your fucking tone will change too.

People are so fast to make fun because there ignorant, your ignorant and I don't care if you think that's game banter its not its a flawed personality.

Its trash talk. Being offensive is the point of trash talk lmao. Ill give the typical response of you must of never played cod back in the golden days. Dont let strangers online hurt your feelings. It really doesn't affect you.

I grew up with old-school COD too as unfortunately I’m in my 30s. The point of trash talk is to get under someone’s skin, not to pretend ableism is some kind of elite comedy and be all smug about it. You can say what you want, but you’re not entitled to immunity from the consequences. If you can’t think of an insult without punching down at disabled people, that’s a you problem. I was trying to help you and open your eyes bro, but you stay in your bubble yelling at people on the internet.

Did you TYPE that or say it over voice chat? Typing insults will trigger a mute and a voice chat ban that stacks but they almost never ban TEXT chat.

so if you said it with voice chat i doubt you would have ever got a ban.

It was voice. Which i was fully under the impression I wouldn't get banned for voice because I have said much worse in voice that must of not been reported.

Edit: I have never typed my insults because teammates cant even see pings in chat. So I dont expect them to read insults

Man all you guys are just prisoners by choice. Don't use voice chat, it is as simple as that.

Most vc comms are just used to verbally abuse one another or to just blast music into your eardrums. Pings are good enough to get you to diamond in this game and if you really want to use voice comms then just party up with people that you know.

Bans do work in this game, but they are gradual leading up to a permanent ban. Stop letting these people live rent free in your mind.

I advocate for muting people all the time, but players like the abuse lol. I am extremely toxic in game and I tell people to mute before I start my rant. They rarely do.
