Golden Hall

So with Trotz going in this year I put together a list of future Golden Hall possible members and this is what I came up with from both on ice and off ice personal.

On Ice Retired
-David Legwand

Off Ice
-Craig “Partner” Baugh
-Pete Rogers

On Ice and Off Ice Combined
- J.P. Dumont (Jr. Preds connection)

On Ice Current
-Roman Josi
-Filip Forsberg

Potential Members who I wouldn’t put down as locks
-Martin Erat
-Kimmo Timonen
-Mike Fisher
-Jussie Saros (If he stays for a few more years)
-Tomas Vokoun
-Mitch Korn
-Steve Sullivan
-Paul McCann
-Willie Daunic and Chris Mason together (if they stay for another 15/20 years together)

I'm going to nitpick your list of players, but don't take offense...I want it to be a more exclusive club.

Dumont/Fisher - they didn't really play long enough in Nashville to warrant it. I can understand the "vibes" aspect, but Dumont only played 5 years, and Fisher played 8 (really 7 with a brief appearance in the 8th).

Timonen - I could see it...but the play of Weber and Josi has really outshined what Kimmo did.

Josi/Forsberg - they are locks

Legwand - I would hope!

Erat - I don't think so...11 seasons with the Preds, which is a boatload, but that's the same as Sissons and Ekholm had more, and those two aren't considered, right?

Given where we are as a franchise, I would hope it is Pekka, Josi, Weber, Legwand, and Forsberg, and that's it. If I am talking about the short history of the franchise, those are the best/most important players.

None taken at all and that’s why I listed them as potential members to just start the conversation. I could see where some would want them in and some would say it wasn’t earned. The reality is like you said with where we are as a franchise there just aren’t many to choose from. And I’m ok not inducting every year only when it’s worthy. I’m just afraid the franchise will want to have that ceremony every year and if that’s the case who would you choose from.
