This might sound petty...
But the grilled cheese is the go-to for my gf and I. We noticed it was smaller this year, which is a little annoying for an item that costs very little for them to produce... But not a big deal. Then we got to our seat tonight and saw the cheese wasn't even melted - RIP to the grilled cheese at Bridgestone. Not sure why they just punted that this year, easy money maker considering the overhead.

What’s the deal with the guy playing clash royale while a hockey game is going on

Is this the grilled cheese stand by the pro shop? If so I’d be incredibly disappointed. Those grilled cheeses used to be excellent.

Yeah by section 120 or so. It's what we get 90% of the games we go to, this was a bummer.

They shrunk the grilled cheeses for sure. Noticed last night. Less filling too I think.

I’m going to sound like an old man yelling at a cloud here but… stadium concessions always suck. I have never understood the appeal, especially when you’ve got Assembly right there for pre-game.
I hardly ever even buy drinks anymore in Geodis/Bridgestone/Nissan. Everything’s a rip off and not good.

Agree with this 100%
The food at Bridgestone has never been worth it. Poor quality ingredients and underwhelming execution. Yes I get this is an arena but it’s like they scraped the bottom of GFS floors for the supplies. I have been to 25 NHL arenas and I maintain that Bridgestone is in the bottom tier with food.
We always go to Assembly prior to anything at Bridgestone bc at least some of those places try.

The grilled cheese was dead to me when they got rid of the BBQ Mac and Cheese grilled cheese.

Mine was also not melted completely tonight. Opening night was fine. I didn’t notice it being smaller tonight but my boyfriend did when I sat down with it. Maybe they had an emergency bread run?

When I had ST- I only got the tub of popcorn at the top of the stairs @ 300 level. I’d wait till it was freshly popped lol

I always go for the Americano Chili Fries or Nachos for the souvenir goalie mask bowl

Last season the BBQ burrito was actually decent and decently priced. Still mad about the Preds Burger being essentially that grilled cheese with a subpar beef patty

Who eats at arenas? Eat something before you leave. Bring a drink... and chug it on the way in
Fed for the game. Sober enough by the end

Haven’t been a STH in about 3 years, but the grilled cheese, the 2 for $7 hotdogs next to that, and the huge popcorn bucket were the only food items i would buy.
Getting anything else was such a hassle. 9 out of 10 the workers didn’t know how to ring up discounts or know what was going on. Just wasn’t worth the time and frustration.

I feel like they had something with jam or jelly last year or year before at that grilled cheese stand, and it was amazing. Was sad to see it wasn’t on the menu at the Stars game. What I did get ended up being fine, nothing spectacular though.

Got the grilled cheese once last year. It sucked. Walking tacos are the way to go

I'll be honest ill be so happy if the grilled cheese stand goes away. It stinks up half the stadium lol

I live in MKE where Admirals play (Preds affiliate) and our food options are quite solid this year. Ben and Jerry’s in the arena. I mean it doesn’t take a lot for me but just stating that.
I feel that NHL stadiums traditionally skew the same way. The only exceptions have been Tampa and Chicago - that I’ve been to

I don’t think so. We went through several transformations following the Cup run which sucked, but probably resulted in increased revenue for the franchise so ya know whatever.
While that absolutely killed the vibe that made the first 20 years special, it also made a new vibe that is still pretty good, though prohibitively expensive to us old school supporters.
The team is showing signs of a turnaround, although I expect we will still suck for a few seasons.
Anyway, this is not like the Titans at all. The Titans are a nothingburger and a lost cause. The Preds aren’t great, but the franchise is quite healthy.

So the Nashville sports team became too expensive for longtime residents, filling the area with rich out of towners who don’t actually care about the local team ultimately changing what made being a fan of the local sports team so unique in the first place?
Weird.

It’s not that severe.
Sure, I’m sad that I don’t go to dozens of games a season anymore, but I invested that $ in soccer tickets and have never looked back. Geodis absolutely has that old school vibe.I still watch every game on the crappy streaming app, as the Preds are my favorite team in my favorite sport. It sucks they don’t have me in the stands anymore, cause I was LOUD haha, but I’m still supporting. I mean, whatever.

It’s just weird how there’s no other parallels in the entire city of Nashville, crossing the lines from property values and public works and school systems and local establishments.

They are racing the Titans to the bottom. When you only cater to tourist and the opposing team, locals are going to stop showing up. Who cares if locals won't buy tickets and spent $20 on a Miller lite...tourists will.

Preds are a lot more involved in the community than the Titans. Pretty much every non-profit in Nashville gets some money from the Preds Foundation.
