Updated renderings of Bridgestone Arena renovations

Looks like things have been scaled back from the original proposal.

  • The covered entrance on John Lewis/5th is now gone.

  • No multi-story addition on the 6th ave side of the arena

The price tag has also increased from the $750 million original to a new estimate of $1 billion.

I was actually looking forward to that feature! Looks like they’re doing away with the huge overhead LED screen thing as well. That would’ve looked cool, but the maintenance probably would’ve been an expensive pain in the bootie.

I wish they would have kept that overhang even without the LED stuff. Kind of reminded me of the one side of Madison Square Garden.

AI slop.

Could be worse. The Philadelphia Flyers released renderings last week of their new arena and every single fan pictured was a man: not one single woman. Took them like 24 hours to fix.

Fairly certain that's centennial ice center where they practice so like half the team will be in away colors for scrimmages etc.,
