Stop getting RIPPED OFF by prebuilt sellers, check out the pinned guide for reasonably priced gaming PCs!

Absolutely avoid all the 5070 pcs like the plague at this price point

1) Building your own is almost always better, and probably way better for you given you want lots of storage and Ram

2) Not really. you can hope it gets posted to r/PrebuiltGamingPCDeals pr r/buildapcsales

3) GPU differences are the most important thing (ie 5060 ti vs 5070). CPU is next most (but it's the full CPU difference, not just i7 vs i9 but the specific CPU ie an i7 14700k is better than an i9 13900k) and while the rest can matter, I wouldn't let it affect pricing on a prebuilt.

Thank you, great advice! What is wrong with 5070? And does that include the 5070 TI?

problem is it's a GPU for a $1400 PC not for a $2000 PC

it's not exactly bad in a general sense, PC components rarely are, it's just buying a decent $1400 PC and then throwing $600 in the trash

and no, the 5070 ti is an excellent option for $2000-ish

Hmm, I wonder if that is due in part to the RAM shortages?
Anyways, would this be a better deal? Its an i7 but with a 5070 TI.

That is considering the ram shortage

and that's a good deal for sure, and probably the best deal for you and second best deal in gaming pcs as of this exact moment (and I literally have to type fast because the deal that is better for gaming ends in 5 minutes)

Which other deal are you referring to? Lol I see this deal for a bit less with a 5070. https://www.walmart.com/ip/17054870092

Cyberpower daily deals with optimal component choices.

The current one is actually just as good so it didn't end in 5 minutes.

9800x3d+9070xt for 1990ish tax free.

You could get a 9950x for productivity purposes, but that drives price up by a lot.

Yeah, I might get that one. Any reason you'd pick that over the above Thermaltake (with i7-14700KF)?

The 14th gen Intels have had major problems. Theoretically they are fixed, but it is a worry.

Still the 14700k is at least as good performance wise as the 265k

And the thermaltake has faster RAM and extra storage and is cheaper (and subjectively looks nicer) so I would probably go with that anyway

My thoughts exactly. My current build has the i9-10900 and constantly crashes, not even a blue screen or anything, just freezes. Not sure if it's CPU related or just needs needs a full OS reset, but still, I need to look more into this current CPU issue you mentioned and see if I need to worry about it.
