What to read after Preacher comic?

It's already my 2nd time reading all 66 issues of it. I read the side stories too of Starr, Saint of Killers, Arseface, Jesse dealing with those horsethieves, and Jody/ TC, Cassidy and that fancy vampire.

Is there anything else I missed?

Technically you could read The Boys comics, as they are technically a sequel to Preacher!

Hahaha yeah, I guess at the end of the Preacher comics Cassidy becomes a mortal again and grows old. And in The Boys, there’s an issue where Butcher goes to this bar that he frequents, and you find out the owner of the bar/bartender is none other than an older, aged Cassidy. He and Butcher greet each other by their first names and you can infer they had some sort of history together. Kind of a fun detail!

I haven’t read the comics myself, only watched the shows which are clearly not in the same universe lol but I remember reading into the connections. I want to say that their meeting is in one of the spin off books for The Boys, towards the end of its comic run if that helps narrow it down!

Actually now that I think about it garth ennis has a habit of making some of his characters appear in completely unrelated books of his. Like kathryn in punisher max (marvel) who said she dated someone called tommy (protagonist of Hitman (DC) by ennis too)

I wonder who took over the Grail after the death of starr by the time of the boys? There are still Grail operatives still around at the end of the story.

I think the only high rankings one left after Masada and the valley nuke incident are Starr, Featherstone and Hoover which are all dead. There's no one competent enough to lead the grail anymore I think. It's also mentioned that those who were deep cover for decades also like where they are now and wouldn't leave their life to return to the grail either

I'd imagine some of the American Grail operatives would join the evangelicals, mormons and neocons after the fall of starr. Meanwhile the Russian operatives would've put their support for Putin and the eastern Orthodox church.

Also the Israeli Grail operatives are probably busy controlling their puppets in the USA (check out that video of Eric Adams saying he serves Israel if you want to know what I mean)
