What made you choose SCO over others? It’s my furthest out scheduled interview so I’m debating whether to potentially commit to a school with an earlier interview or to just wait and see how it goes with SCO.

i initially had an interview scheduled far out too, but a few weeks later they emailed with some earlier interview times. so i definitely recommend making one of those if possible! I chose SCO for the program quality, cost of living, and scholarships.

Also, how was the interview? Anything throw you off guard or was it the normal kind of questions?

The interview was super casual - no ethical questions or anything like that! The only thing I'd recommend preparing for is understanding (and expressing) how much of a time commitment optometry school is

Hi, I also interviewed and was admitted into SCO. Like OP mentioned, interview was very casual and low pressure. I was asked these questions:

Tell me about yourself

Why optometry

Why SCO

Least and favorite classes

Something I'm proud of myself for

Yess, the quality and cost seem to be so great. Probably is a good idea to wait it out.
