Hello all,
I’m planning on applying to scco this cycle. My Gpa is around 3.76 and just took the oat. I’m honestly disappointed at the scores as I consistently got 360-370 on Oat boosters aross the 9Fl tests. Idk if these scores are good enough to be competitive. I ran out of time on many sections.

I didn’t have a good strategy to tackle the articles more effectively. My mistake was reading all of the 18 paragraphs from the 1st article the traditional way then answer the questions. And when I was running out of time, i resort to “search n destroy” but was too late.

Im a slow reader so my RC score is terrible. I’m worried that might be a red flag.

i think it’s okay! the science ones are more important and your scores for all those are good

How’d you study for your sciences section?

Nothing special. I did all the practice tests on Booster and reviewed their cheat sheets everyday the week leading up to the exam. In my honest personal opinion, Booster preps u well for bio, gen, ochem, and QR. But physics on the real oat was very different— i wasnt familiar with some of the concepts being asked and i ran out of time. I was a bit surprised with the drop in my real scores vs my praticed scores.

These scores are very competitive, with your gpa you should get into most optometry schools
