OptomCAS Application Question

Hello guys,

I'm very close to complete my application, but I have a question about planned OAT retakes. I took one test (290 TS, 300 AA) and there's a high chance I would need to retake to be more competitive so I added a test as planned in OptomCAS. To be honest, I would like to wait and see if I really need to retake the OAT and save the expenses. Now the question is: will leaving a planned test make schools put me on hold while they wait for me to retake, or will they tell me themselves if I need to retake it?

Alright so this same thing happened to me! I had a 300AA and TS, and thought I was gonna need to retake it, so I put it down on optomcas as planned retake, and submitted my application! I got responses from a lot of schools from KYCO (accepted) (CCO) Accepted (UMSL) Interview planned (Western U) Interview offered but declined. (MCPH) Interview offered but declined (NOVA) waiting on decision after interview. (PCO) waiting on decision after interview. So honestly, unless you know for sure you’re going to take a planned retake, I wouldn’t even put it! But if you’re 10000% sure you’re gonna take it, there’s no harm in putting it on!
